FG APPROVES ANNAHADA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY GRADUATES FOR NYSC PROGRAM

Graduates of Annahada International University based in Maradi in the Republic of Niger are now eligible to participate in the one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps’ program along with their Nigerian counterparts.

The development followed end of a long standing issues between the university, Niger Ministry for Higher Education , Federal Ministry of Education and the National Universities Commission.

The information was contained in a gazetted letter dated 18th December, 2023 duly signed by Mrs. Ochenna Maryrose Udoji Phd., the Deputy Director of Evaluation and Accreditation Division, Federal Ministry of Education confirming the approval of the Federal Government of Nigeria that graduates of Annahada University can now under go NYSC program.

According to the letter, the Federal Government upon identifying with authenticity of the university, certificates from the university are now acceptable for employment, admission into Nigerian universities for further studies and for mobilization to part take in the National Youth Service Corps’ program.

In the same vein, the National Universities Commission in written document signed by Dr. N.B. Saliu, Director Planning of the commission, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, confirmed that the Ministry For Higher Education in Niger had concluded all investigation on authenticity of the university , hence the university wrote to the Federal Government of Nigeria to accept certificate from the university.

The Nigerian Universities Commission, according to the letter, however vindicated Annahada University and its certificates from its two campuses in Niamey and Maradi in Niger Republic to further confirm the Federal Government’s approval of its acceptability.
